IGNOU July Admissions 2026: Registration Opens for ODL, Apply Now

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has opened the IGNOU July 2026 admission process. Those students who are interested and fulfil the specified eligibility requirements can apply online. The application will continue till 15 July, as it is the official IGNOU admission last date 2026.

The IGNOU July 2026 admission start date is already active and the registration process is ongoing. All the eligible students can visit the website and complete their registration by filling out and submitting the admission form.

The admission process is open for various programmes offered by IGNOU in both Online and Open &  Distance Learning (ODL) modes. For ODL mode, candidates can apply through ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in while for Online mode, applications can be submitted through ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ link and enter your basic details like name, mobile number, email ID and create a password.

Step 3: Login to fill the IGNOU application form 2026 by using your registration credentials.

Step 4: Fill the application form by entering personal details, academic information and selecting your programme. Also, upload the required documents.

Step 5: Make the payment of the IGNOU 2026 application fee through online mode.

Step 6: Review and submit the application form, then download the confirmation page for future reference.

IGNOU Admission: Rules for Registration Fee, Cancellation and Refund

IGNOU has started admissions for the July 2026 session and students should carefully check the application fee rules before applying.

The registration fee will not be refunded in any case. If a student cancels admission before it is confirmed, the fee can be refunded. After confirmation, 15% of the programme fee (up to INR 2,000) will be deducted.

If a student chooses soft copy study material, only the registration fee will be deducted from the refund. If a student has a fee exemption and has paid only the registration and development fee, then only the development fee will be refunded.

No refund will be given after 60 days from the last date of admission. Students should read all rules carefully before applying.
