IGNOU MCA Admission 2026: IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has started admissions for the MCA (Master of Computer Applications) course on 16 December 2025 for the January 2026-27 academic session. Students who want to take admission must submit their application form through the IGNOU official portal. They must complete their admission process before 15 February 2026.

Before filling out the application, applicants must ensure that they have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a recognised university or its equivalent qualification. The application fee for the IGNOU MCA course is INR 300, while the course fee is INR 12,700/Semester. The duration of the course is 2 years (minimum) to 4 years (maximum).

Students who are looking to take admission in IGNOU MCA (Master of Computer Science) must be ready with their documents, as the university has released the application forms on 16 December 2025, and the admission window will close on 15 February 2026.

Only those students are eligible to take admission to the MCA programme at IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) who have completed a Bachelor's degree/Undergraduate degree from a recognised university. The students have to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 300 and a semester fee of INR 12,700 to enroll in the course. They can complete the course in 2 years (minimum duration) to 4 years (maximum duration).

IGNOU MCA Application Form 2026

IGNOU offers admission twice a year for the MCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) course (in January and in July). The application forms are available on the university' Samarth portal from 16 December 2025 for the academic session January 2026-27. Interested candidates must complete the admission process on or before 15 February 2026 via the university official website. The entire admission process is online, and there's no entrance exam. 

While submitting the application form, students must ensure they have a valid ID, academic documents, a passport-size photo, a signature, and a category certificate (if applicable). A Debit/Credit card is also required to pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 300.

IGNOU MCA Admission Eligibility Criteria 

Students willing to pursue careers in Computer Science can enroll in the IGNOU MCA (Master of Computer Applications) course. Eligibility to take admission to MCA at IGNOU is given below:

• Bachelor of Computer Science (BCA) or its equivalent from a recognised university. OR
• BSc/BCom/BA with mathematics at the 10+2 level or at graduation level + Bridge courses offered by IGNOU (Programming in C and Python and Data Structures and Algorithms).
