IGNOU BA Admission 2026: The university will commence BA admission from 16 December 2025 for the academic session January 2026. IGNOU offers a BA program in 20+ subjects, and students can submit the application form on the university's official website before 15 February 2026. The university offers a BA FYUP (Four-Year Undergraduate Programme) and a standard 3-year BA degree programme. 

Students who have completed Class 12 and are looking to pursue a BA program can apply for the course by paying an application fee of INR 300. They must secure at least 45% marks in Class 12. IGNOU does not conduct any entrance exam for BA admission. Interested students can apply directly for the course. 

The annual course fee to pursue a BA from IGNOU is approximately INR 5,000-6,000 per annum, excluding the BA in Journalism and Digital Media and the BA in Facilities and Services Management. Students have to pay approximately INR 10,600/Year for these two courses. 

IGNOU provides two types of BA programs: One is FYUP and the other is a 3-year Hons. course. BA program disciplines available at IGNOU include English, History, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Urdu, Hindi, Mass Media, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Psychology, and more. The program duration is around 3 to 4 years, depending on the program selected by the students.

IGNOU BA admission for the January 2026 session will begin from 16 December 2025. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out and submit the application using the online portal of the IGNOU, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The application fee is INR 300, and the annual course fee ranges between INR 5,000 – INR 10,600/Year, depending on the specialisation.
