IGNOU DElEd Admission 2026: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) provides an opportunity to pursue the DElEd (Diploma in Elementary Education) to students who have completed Class 12th with at least 50% marks, along with two years of teaching experience. The university will release the application form on 01 December 2025* for the January academic session 2026. The students can apply for admission through the official website of the university before 31 January 2026*. Students have to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 300, and an annual course fee is INR 8,000.

Note: IGNOU has discontinued the Diploma in Elementary Education (DELED) program from 2019.

The university offers a diploma in elementary education through IGNOU to those who want to enter the teaching profession at the school level. IGNOU DElEd course syllabus includes the subjects, such as Educational Technology, Educational Philosophy, Educational Psychology, Environmental Education, and Pedagogical Subjects. The students can complete the course in a minimum of 2 years, and students can extend it up to a maximum of 4 years if they are not able to complete the course within the minimum timeframe.

Before filling out the application form, students must be ready with scanned copies of all the required documents.
