The university has started MPhil admissions on 04 July 2025 by inviting the registration form at the official Samarth portal. The last date to apply for admission is 24 July 2025. Students who want to take admission in the MPhil course must have completed their master’s degree in the concerned subject. The application fee for the MPhil is INR 1000, which is a non non-refundable. The students also have to pay the course fee of INR 12,600. Students can apply through the official website of the university before the last date of 25 November 2025.

Students who have qualified UGC NET/JRF and CSIR NET/JRF get weightage in admission to the MPhil course. IGNOU MPhil course duration is 2 years, but students who are not able to complete the course within the stipulated duration can complete the course in a maximum of 4 years.

IGNOU has invited the online application form for the MPhil (PhD) program. Interested candidates must submit the application form before the last date, which is 24 July 2025. To be eligible, applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.

The university also accepts the CSIR NET/JRF or UGC NET/JRF exams to select students. At the time of filling the application, applicants must provide a valid ID, educational documents, a passport-sized photo, a signature, proof of date of birth, a category certificate (if applicable), and a Credit card/Debit card, UPI, or Netbanking to pay the application fee of INR 1,000.
