IGNOU Extends July 2025 Admission Deadline to 15 September for ODL and Online Programmes

The Indira Gandhi National Open University, which is famously referred to as IGNOU, has officially extended the last date for IGNOU Admissions to its July 2025 academic session. As per the latest notification issued by the university, candidates now have until 15 September 2025 to submit their applications for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes, excluding certificate-level courses.

This extension of the deadline is for the students who were unable to complete their registration within the earlier deadline. In this given period, candidates can gather documents, complete formalities, and make informed choices about their academic future.

Programmes Covered Under the Extension

The revised deadline applies to a wide range of academic offerings under both ODL and Online modes. These include:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes
• Postgraduate Diplomas and Diplomas
• Postgraduate Certificates
• Appreciation and Awareness-level programmes

However, certificate programmes are not included in this extension and will continue to follow the original schedule as announced earlier.

The application process involves:

Re-registration Also Extended

Along with new admissions, IGNOU has also given an extension to continuing students to re-register until September 15, 2025, with a late fee of INR 200. This is for all ODL and Online mode programmes.
